This camera is sending the street scenery from my window in Montreal, Canada.
Sadly, the view outside my window is nothing to talk about.
Sometimes it looks a little better - at Christmas, when all the street lights of garlands or early summer morning when the dew is still visible on the leaves of trees.
It has been very cold and very snowy this year, in particular. We're usually wishing for a bit of snow on Christmas, but we had plenty this year to go around!
The farther the better I like summer. There are so many beautiful places here around of Montreal! Quebec is a very beautiful province of Canada.
Every place in the world has its own beauty. But my soul flies to the sea and sun. And such pictures like below awaken a storm of emotions inside me!
I am 10 minutes (by car) from the City Center.
Almost every morning (when the desire takes me) I run along the canal Lachine to the downtown or Old Port. This is about 10 ... 12 kilometers and It takes about 1.5-2 hours.
Sometimes I try to combine the run with visiting of new places. There is always a small camera in my pocket. And from time to time I take some pictures that attract my artistic attention.
"For me, running is both exercise and a metaphor," Murakami writes. "Running day after day, piling up the races, bit by bit I raise the bar, and by clearing each level I elevate myself."   I agree with him on 100 percent.
After running I exercise on my backyard and swim in the pool with the crystal clear water. Almost all my passions in life are satiated. In the summer....

  "I dream of a place,
A place I could escape to,
But the place is far beyond what is in this world,
I dream of a place of fine sand paths,
So fine that can walk bare footed.....
As I walk I enjoy feeling of fine sand on my feet......
I wish others could see what I am seeing.....
I have enjoyed my journey and now I must head home,
But I don’t rush my journey,
I take my time,
I want to cherish this moment,
To keep me going in my world.....
Now its time so I take a deep breath,
I open my eyes,
And now I am back home,
Back where I started,
I smile and get up refreshed from my journey,
A journey I want to share...."

From Dylans Starr poem.

[12.03.2009] What does the run mean for me?
Running helps resurrect my inner introvert, and I cherish those long runs alone. It gives me opportunity to escape the constant buzz of my home and business lives, and get back to basics. It is a great time for prayer and reflection.
[10.02.2009] what you like to do...
A good vacation depends on what you like to do... do you like to have every day action packed with a lot of activities, or do you like to sit on the beach and relax? What might be fun is a cruise, where you go to a bunch of different islands. I went on a cruise with my family last year and it was so much fun! A great combo of fun and relaxation.I would vote europe, if you've never been there, although right now the exchange rate is making it terribly outrageous. You may be better off staying in the US - your dollar will go much farther. Since I see you're from the east coast, I will suggest San Francisco or San Diego! My kids loved San Francisco. Other ideas outside of the US... mexico? You can usually find an all-inclusive that's not too bad. Go cave-snorkeling - lots of fun! Or how about Canada? Quebec or Montreal or Toronto? Or Nova Scotia if you want something more outdoorsy. Love Nova Scotia, it's beautiful.
[7.02.2009] The best place to go
I've spent time in the Bahamas, Mexico, St. Martin, and south Florida. I thought St. Martin was great, but that was after I got married. If you're single looking to meet people, you'll probably have a better time in Mexico. There's an island just off the coast of Cancun called Isla Mujeres (the island of women), and it's a really fun, quaint place. It has a little bit of touristy stuff, but nothing at all like Cancun. There are some places on the island that have ruins to visit, but I don't recall if they had any museums. It's a fairly small island (3-4 miles across I think), so you can hit all of the hotspots in that amount of time. You'll have to fly into Cancun, then taxi to Puerto Juarez, and catch a ferry to the island. Definitely worth it, and the prices are extremely reasonable there, too.
[6.02.2009] Are you going to be in Zihuatanejo ?
Check out Casa Frida in Barra Potosi. It is secluded and still close enough to town. You can have pure nature and the best food around. Highly recommended!!!!Barra Potosi is a village of about 300 people on mostly empty 10 miles of beach and it is true that Casa Frida is located next to the taxi stand in Barra. When I said town I was referring to Zihuatanejo, which is about 15 miles away. You really cannot have total seclusion and a cold beer at the same time.
[6.02.2009] Barra de Potosi vacation
Barra is a Lovely dirt street real Mexican Fishing Village with some excellent beach cafes that are perfectly safe. Drink only bottled water however. It's a on a Fabulous 91/2 mile beach & has a lagoon with rental Kayaks. Several dive shops in Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa but none if Potosi. Carlos Scuba comes highly recommended in Zihua. Ixtapa Dive also gets good reviews.PS be sure & visit the Children's Library in Potosi founded by my friend Laura.
